Captain Doug is an outstanding guide. He's personable, knowledgeable and knows the Laguna Madre and surrounding areas well. Even in very tough fishing conditions he put us on fish. Highly recommend.

Great trip Doug got us on the fish quick, almost limited out on trout and caught a 33” 13.6 lb red fish it was quite a fight. Would recommend capt. Doug

Would give 10 stars if I could. He is very passionate, patient, and attentive to what is going on. The best part is his fish-side manner like (bedside manner :))). He is very pleasant to be around. Highly recommend.

Fishing with Captain Doug was an outstanding experience. My wife and I have fished with many guides across several states, and Doug was by far the best! He shared valuable knowledge about the waters, fish migration patterns, and why certain lures and baits were effective at that time of year. Doug’s boat is fantastic, and his smooth driving made for a comfortable ride. He knows exactly where the fish are. As someone with decent fishing experience, I still learned a lot in a short amount of time, and Doug helped my wife look like a pro in no time. We caught fish right away, and the action continued throughout the afternoon. Captain Doug’s laid-back, polite, and professional demeanor made the day even more enjoyable, and he was always ready to help and answer any questions we had. We’ll definitely be back!

I am a 3 peat customer of Captain Doug, he caterers to all levels of fishing experience, he has taught more about fishing than I can mention here! I have had a great time each time I have gone with him and he has put us on fish each time. The last trip was a wade trip and we had our limit of trout in 2 hours and also released several nice fish, so if you are looking for a relaxing fun time and catch fish on top of that I highly recommend Captain Doug!
